  1. Thank you for visiting my blog. I like your photos of the kitty and lab. I had a black lab and a yellow lab once, both pets at different times, both of them deceased now, but wonderful precious pets we had for years before they both became very sick and old and had to be put down. They were like family to us. Missed them terribly when gone. :(

  2. Thanks so much for liking my post and following my blog, The Bookworm’s Apple. It’s very much appreciated. Have a wonderful day!

  3. Thank you for following my blog and liking my post “What super powers would you like to have?” I love your photos, particularly the ones of your grandsons lol. They’re very handsome! :-) Strange, my nephew has a cat called Loki and I commented on Loki from the latest Thor movie in one of my recent blog posts. There’s obviously a lot of mischief-making going on in the world at the moment lol.

  47. You might like my about page…while it speaks volumes…it reveals, well not much.
I write poetry and now too flash fiction. I play with my dino digital camera. But I haven’t quite figured out how to post photos…yet. That may have to be another blog…someday.

I too have a grandson, who is a wonderful source of inspiration and cookie-crumb-kisses.

I’ll book mark your place, thanks for cheering me on.
    All the best, Jules

  48. If that little fellow hadn’t done it he was certainly making a valiant effort!
WELCOME to the blog Mo-ments or Idle Thoughts.
Keep up the good work with the camera.

I miss her a lot when she’s at school.
Anyway, I stopped by to thank you for visiting my work. So thanks,

  50. Your black-and-whites are stirring. The photos complement your poems very well. I just finished my series on the writing process with tips on how to end poems, if it interests. Cheerleading your continued success.

  51. Hi Cynthia thank you for taking the time to read my blog and the follow. It really means a lot. I’ve really enjoyed reading yours and love all your quotes. Precious is sooo cute. It’s uncanny but she looks a lot like my cat, Yasmin, except she’s slightly fluffier. Lots of love, Lisa

  52. Cynthia, thanks for letting me know about your blog-it is BEAUTIFUL. Your photography is wonderful. I am thrilled to discover another blogger in the family……..

  53. wonderful photo’s to share.. I think, to my mind, that the photo’s you pick, says much more than mere words…The response you feel inside happens naturally, instinctive… So your about page … fits the bill, perfectly.. x

  56. Hi Cynthia, thank you so much for stopping by! You have such an inspiring blog. Happy to connect with you. Have a beautiful day. – Noora

  57. Hi Cynthia,
Thanks for liking “Annoyance” on my blog Aspiring to Inspire. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by. I’ve enjoyed looking at the photographs on your blog, particularly the old home photo. There’s something about a run down home that appeals to me….my mind goes to the “American Dream” and did it work out for the people who occupied those walls? What is the story there? Anyway, love your photos…and I look forward to seeing more.

  58. Thank you for liking my poem…lovely photos here…..Best wishes in your continued creative expressions and Journey in finding Beauty in the simple.

  59. Thank you so much for visiting my site and clicking to follow. You have some very inspiring photographs here. I especially like the black and white photo’s. I enjoyed looking around! Lovely.

  60. Excellent blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?

I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a
free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any tips? Bless you!

  61. Hi there, thanks for visiting my blog and following. I wish I could give you an “about,” but I’m still having trouble wiht my own.

  62. Hey. Serenity here from Serenity’s Musings. Thank you so much for stopping by Serenity’s Musings and granting me with you follow. That means a lot to me. You have a fantastic blog going on here. I especially liked the post with the old abandoned house. I am drawn to things such as that.

  74. We are all still looking for our “about” aren’t we? That’s great! Thank you for stopping to smell my artwork. Your photos are striking! Love the Emerson post, in particular. He’s a fav…the quotable Ralph W., and the photo is perfect for the sentiment. Cheers!

  75. I tend not to drop a ton of responses, however i did some searching and
wound up here About | Simple Pleasures~.

And I do have a couple of questions for you if it’s allright. Is it simply me or does it appear like some of the remarks look as if they are written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at additional places, I’d like to keep up with everything fresh you have to post.
Would you make a list of every one of all your communal pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed,
    or linkedin profile?

  76. Hey, Cynthia, somehow I didn’t know you had a Facebook page. I just liked it. I have one too, for Twinklysparkles (it won’t let me do it with a small “t”). I’d love if you hop over and like my Facebook page, too! Thanks, as always, for stopping by my blog.

    Aussie Ian aka Aussie Emu

  83. As i sat here tonight, i thought of all the poems you have shared where the image sends the message and you add a few words , they are poems, beautiful poems and you share them with us all…letting us to taste of his love within you! I have nominated you tonight my sister, for the Most Influential Blog Award 2012. You are so deserving for the light and happiness which you bring into our lives each day. God bless you Cynthia, and congratulations…you are so deserving!

    Cheers, Mike

  86. Greetings from Australia,
I love the fact that you honour those that you love dearly. Judging by the look of peace, joy and love that emanates from your children, I’d say that they are a direct reflection of their parents, and that is a beautiful thing indeed. Sincerely wishing you and your family all the best.
    God bless

  87. Hey, nice blog and some nice poetry you’ve got here – plus I love that picture of Loki! :)
Thanks for visiting and liking on mine.

  91. Hi Cynthia! You have a wonderful blog and a great positive attitude towards life -love that :)
    Keep up the great work!

  92. Haha, that’s such an ingenious about post! I think many bloggers would agree that we all dread writing the dreaded about page, lol. Me included.

Thanks so much for following my blog and liking some of my posts. :D

  93. Thank you so much for the link to my blog. I really appreciate it. (One of these days I’ll get a blogroll of my own together.)

  94. Your photographs are beautiful and I love your “about” page – I think most of us still looking for our about…I know I am, but getting closer every day.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my post.

  95. Funny thing about “about’s”….nobody can actually supply you with “one”. “About’s” have to be your very own….so we’ll wait until you discover your “about”…then we’ll all flock here to read it….when you find your “about”. ;-)

  96. Dear Cynthia, this is much delayed. I want to thank you for visiting and following my blog. Beautiful, awesome photography! I ought to visit more often to feed my soul. May your path and your work continue to be illuminated and may you continue to share Divinely-inspired work. Much blessings, namaste. ♥♥♥Nadine Marie♥♥♥

  97. Beauty, best defined by portraits
and stoked full, burning hearth of heart,
    Not caring what adventure waits,
    Imparting what true soul imparts,
    Water that fulfills, satiates
As Eden’s did at the world’s start.

  98. Greetings Cynthia! Sending you a hearty thank you from this corner of the world! and would just like to let you know how much I appreciate you having stopped by my blog and left a “like” impression, so that I could find my way back to your wonderful words and photography. I know of few pleasures which are more delicious than the union of words and pictures created in this way.

  99. Thank you for following me! Your site is exquisite….beautifully provocative pics & quotes! Simply refreshing & inspiring!

  100. You probably have an about somewhere in a corner that you haven’t noticed. If not, you can always make something up and change it on a whim. Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog.

  101. Wow……I was feeling kind of proud to be sitting close to 28,000 hits on my poetry blog….then I read yours at 41,000 plus. I thought I had a relatively popular blog on WordPress then there was yours. Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my site and especially the reblog on one of my works. It is good see you this a.m. Sorry to see your cabin is being sold.

    • Hello John, very good to see you here :-) What a wonderful comment from such a talented poet. As far as the cabin..a bit bitter sweet. We of course will miss it, but are looking forward to something a bit different.
Love and blessings to you and yours.

      • I understand the bitter-sweet so well. I will be forced soon to sell my primary home in McKinney, Texas. It was a home I could only dreamed of owning as a child. The exchange will be for an organic farm and winery combined which has been a life-long dream of my wife. I only pray by the time of the exchange I will be able to handle it as I wil be 71 when it happens. By the way, my wife is also the same age as me.

  102. I would have to say that you are a little like me in that fact that you capture nature as it is. I haven’t posted too much of my photography yet, but if you are interested, here is a simple page with a few of them. http://seclusionimages.yolasite.com/

Thank you for the “like” and the “follow” – continue enjoying nature! :-)

    Doug Alan

  103. Thank you for following my photo blog! I guess that’s “about” me. In the small scheme of things, there’s a ton about me…in the larger scheme, it’s all so insignificant. So, from day to day, I will post a photo with no ‘abouts’ about them…but they will all say something about me. Love your writing! Maybe your writing will go along with one of my photos…. May we be an inspiration to each other!

  104. Hello! Thanks for the “like” on my poetry page announcement at TheConqueringMom.com! I couldn’t help but wonder if you have any old poems lying around that you were wishing you could submit. There are no rules, except that you retain all rights, as in a loan to an art museum, including the right to have it removed at any time. Perhaps you mom or grandmom wrote a poem when you were born or graduated? Your sister wrote one about her baby? Your mom-in-law? These need not be what the critics would call moving or majestic or even very poetic. If it came from the heart of a mom, or from the heart of a child who loved a mom, it’s a go. Thanks for considering this, and thanks, again, for liking my poetry project!

  105. thx for the continued support…..love your postings…….i’ve been away on a side trip to texas…writing……and wandering…..on so many levels……there’s something about that desert wind that sweeps me away….be happy

  106. Hi, thanks for stopping by The Order Expert Blog and for the like on one of my posts. Aww, but you are your own “About!” You already own your “About.” :) Cheers, Rashelle

  107. Hi Cynthia,

The imprint of your eyes is sustenance for the living words on my blog.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and liking my poem.

  108. Thank you for your visit and for following. It took me many years to find my about. I’ll be following to see when you find yours and congratulate you! :)

  109. Appreciate you following my photography blog! You liked a kitten photo I posted yesterday. I’ve just put up another humerous kitty photo today and there will be one more tomorrow. Good luck finding just the right “about!”

  110. Hi Cynthia, nice to meet you.
Great work… great blog.. love your blog.
Thanks for visiting and liking my photograph blog… :)
    Greeting from Jogjakarta, Indonesia.

  111. Funny About, I can see I like you all ready. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and choosing to follow along. I look forward to becoming great blogging friends. ~ BB

  112. I don’t think you need words for your about at all. Your beautiful photos and the positivity in your site says it all. :-)

  113. I read your poem “The Sun” with particular interest for its connection to Rumi. His teachings are, in my view, timeless, as is his mystical imagery that yields to a vast amount of interpretations. I look forward to reading more of your work.

  114. Thank you for visiting my site and liking my baby magpie photo and comment. That same baby magpie has now grown a lot but is still fat (and quite scruffy giving the game away it is a baby) and its not mature enough yet to appear as dashing as its parents. I’ve enjoyed your blog info too. K;-)

  115. Thank you for following my blog. Time seems to be compressed lately. I awake today feeling so grateful for my life and all its’ blessings so I decided to start thanking people. Blog-pals are important to me.

  116. Thanks for liking my post.

In answer to your request for a “spare about”,make your “about” just a photo.

You’re too cute, to be at a lost for words,

  117. It’s hard to write about yourself, isn’t it? But it’s one of those simple pleasure to discover the soul in the person you’ve met step by step, smoothly with time! Nice to meet you! Thank you for visiting me!

  118. Hey there – just wanted to thank you for stopping by my little blog and ‘liking’ my sketches! I love your photography, btw – great blog!

  119. Hi Cynthia, thank you for liking my post ‘Reading Rehearsal’. I love how you combine words and photography in your blog – 2 things I love. keep blogging :)

  120. Hello Cynthia! I appreciate that you read a post on my blog, “Deceive me not”! I’m new to blogging and your encouragement is a welcome breeze! Your photos are lovely and I look forward to seeing more of them. Blessings, Reverend Mother

  121. Thank you for giving me a like on two blogs. I’m not sure if i’msupppose to just give a like or post a comment when people are posting a like. sorta new to blogintg.

    • well, how I do it..of course just me…I follow the people that I enjoy reading..then I click like to show them that they are seen and I appreciate them taking the time to post or write…I comment to leave my thoughts on their work and thank you for sharing and posting… Sometimes I am not able to comment on all..so I click “like” or share on other sites (of course with their permission) Thank you and enjoy blogging :-)

  122. It is I again (I don’t think your site accepts my comment) to thank you for stopping by my blog site and for liking some of my new posts. I look forward to reading your work – as soon as I get my act together with my current Summer Intensive teaching responsibilities. In the meantime, much success to you in your writing.

  123. First I would like to say thank you for stopping by my blog and giving me a like. I really like your blog and apparently so do many others. I went through a rough spot for a couple of years and a blog like yours show alot of love. Thank you, Jim

  124. It was great having your visit on my blog site. I have missed seeing you and especially your thoughtful comments. Enjoying our East Texas home on Cedar Creek Lake this long weekend. The water is beautiful, but am not enjoying the sound of fireworks at 3 a.m. My bride has many social events to attend this long weekend. As for me, I believe I will chill on the waterfront porch with my laptop, my WordPress family, a glass of wine, and thou.

  125. Hi Cynthia, when I see your photo, I think “about love and strength”, and by strength I don’t really mean physical strength, but what one gets from being a part of the whole. Thanks for visiting my blog “Our Lovely World”. Namaste, Celine

  126. Cynthia, just admiring this photo of you. Wondering where was it shot? Reminds me a bit of where I live :) Gorgeous you are and I love the black & white for this. Sending good thoughts your way today! Robyn

  127. Thanks for stopping by and liking a post! Was incredibly kind of you. As already said a hundred times, I like your about, it sums life up really, how can we say what we’re about until we’re done? We’re always still growing after all!

  128. I think this is one of the best “About” pages I’ve seen. I really like your blog and your photos. Thank you for visiting my blog.

  129. regarding the circular quote that brought me here: I would say believe everything but widen your sense to make it common

  130. I don’t do this often but I thought I should start someday! – thank you for liking my most recent blog post! And congrats on the many awards you’ve been nominated for – clearly well deserved! :) and I love your ‘about’ page … I think it’s safe to say that that is what you’re about.. Still in search for your identity.. Maybe. Have a good week Cynthia! :)

  131. This is possibly the best about page! Though you could barrow from Edward Siccor hands and say “I’m not finished yet”.

  132. Thanks for checking out and liking my post on Prince’s “I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man.” Love the beautiful words and pictures here. Thank you so much.

  133. Love your photo quotes! Thanks for checking out my blog. I see that you support NCMEC. They’re a great organization. Have a nice day!

  136. Thanks for the recent “like” on my “not in India 2012″ blog. I enjoy yours as well but not all that good in “liking” and commenting. Sorry about that!
    with love light and JOY

  142. Cynthia
Wanted to take the opportunity of quiet time to stop in and thank you for visiting and liking my Boys To Men post Woman…Raise Thyself. I tend to be one of those blah blah blah bloggers mentioned by a previous admirer of yours. I appreciate any artist who has the gift of minimalism while still getting the point across. I just don’t happen to be one of them. (case in point, just meant to drop in and say thanks). So, thanks and come back anytime.

  143. Thank you Cynthia for joining my blog^.^ I enjoy your posts, reminds us of the little beautiful things in life that bring comfort and joy.

  144. thanks again for your like on my recent post “freedom to do nothing”. Knowing someone “out there” actually notices what I write, gives me further incentive to keep doing so.
    with love light and JOY

  148. You are absolutely right…all of us are still finding about ourselves. “About” is just a few words…..
Thanks for following my blog “Astonishing India”. Hope to keep you interested.

  149. Hi Cynthia!! Lovely work!!*:)My about is on my homepage under the button…I write a blog. Well la-dee-dah!! It’s kind of silly…but I sure had fun making it:)) best wishes!!

  151. Thanks for visiting my blog, and for appreciating the poem, “Seldom Wright.” I will return the favor in the near future and peruse your work. If I “like” something, I’ll also tell you why. I may also ask “Why?” My comments, like, what, $6.89, will get you a cup of coffee most anywhere. After all, I’m Seldom Write.

Skip, from North Carolina (seems to be a trend in giving locations)

  152. After drifting down through 130 plus comments, I forgot this was an about page. Thanks so much for finding my place. I am curious though, you have links to a blogs that appear to be by Dean J Baker. Either way a wonderful place here, Images and writing!

  154. Hi Cynthia. Thanks for dropping by the blog. Glad you like it. The feeling is mutual. Where was the photo taken? I spent a lot of time on the coasts of Maine and Cape Ann.

    • Hi Gordon, the photo was taken at Crystal Beach in Ontario, Canada. I hope to someday spend some time in Maine. Another adventure on my lists of to do’s

  157. I enjoy your photos and appreciate all the “likes” you’ve given my blog. If I could offer one suggestion your “older” followers: sometimes the script on your images is either too fine or too similar to the image and is difficult for me to read. It’s probably just my age creeping up on me, but it’s just something I wanted to mention

  158. Gracias por pasar por mi blog, espero que te halla gustado, y así me has dado la oportunidad de conocer el tuyo, gracias y saludos

Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you liked is, and so have given me the opportunity to meet you, thanks and greetings

  164. Thanks for liking my poems. I occasionally post poetry – there’s another one a few weeks ago and there are some waiting for their turn in between writing and review posts. I love, love, love your photos. I use one of my photos every time I post and I’m very ‘amateur’. Yours are stunning.

  165. Thank you for showing your support of Navigating Cyberloss by liking ‘Alternative Endings’. I will have a read of your work. :)

    Best wishes,

Hope you will find even some small things which will assist you in some way along your own life’s journey. I will be checking out your blog as well. The “solitude” photo is superb. I don’t update it everyday but I do post a daily photograph on my other blog though I suspect that one will always have a more limited audience! I have put a cap on the number of blogs that I subscribe to because it can generate too many emails and it can be a bit overwhelming! I will pop back to see new posts on Simple Pleasures. Best wishes from sunny Sheffield…

    • You are very welcome. I positively do understand about the subscribe thingy :-) I enjoy your blog and will also pop in and out to see your posts.
      Thank you-
