never I’ve been the owner of a house, maybe I had enough money to buy this one?
Lovely photo!
Easy to break a house… much harder to break a home… the love that slatted that roof will take a lot of beating… a beautiful picture… thanks.
Hi Cynthia L. Baker from Cynthia L. Barton (married name Knoke.) Wonderful blog you have here…..
Lovely, romantique picture, and utterly idyllic setting. But as your quotation makes clear, it (an abandoned house) is always a sad sight too. Made me think about my own house and its “taxing ways” Hope these too do not break both of us”
Love this picture! Decaying houses, barns, and summary buildings are fascinating artworks. Such mood, one might even say poetic.

Thank you for following my blog!! I love this photo…altho to me it reminds me of saddness. Of someone who worked their way into the ground. When my brother and I were little and when he would see a house like this (we traveled a lot) he’d point and say, “Someone tried to live there!”
Hi Jennyelaine- thank you for the wonderful comment..I do agree with your brother
Love and blessings to you
I didn’t see this as a “building” statement….instead as a dismantling of a a together life…..
Poignant and personal.
A big WELCOME to the blog Mo-Ments or Idle Thoughts. May what you read there be of help here
Ive seen a post card with a similar photo that said “one more payment and it’s mine!” beebee
Picture evokes nostalgia & melancholy, peace & tranquility…

There’s a lot more to this photo than meets the eye: at first sight, a beautiful scene of lovely colours and contrasting textures; some play with perspective; and then – wham! – melancholy.
Thanks for the visit and you have a very nice blog here.
Great photography, I love nature and scenic shots a lot.
Love the picture Cindy!

So much to this. Beautiful picture!
One of your more telling productions. I find it quite penetrating. And, a little close to home.
Sad, the picture speaks a lot
